Back in 1976, the City of Kamloops advised people not to swim in the ROPED OFF areas of Riverside and Pioneer Park. I wonder what changed?

We have spent a 100x if not a 1000x more on response to drowning than that would be required for effective drowning prevention. This response ALONE cost taxpayers over $100,000.
I think this interview will be used as evidence of negligence by the City of Kamloops if someone else drowns.
Jatin Garg was the latest person to drown here. Countless people have drowned at this beach in the last 100 years.
Kamloops is a bridge jumping town. I grew up here, I know.
There is nothing to warn jumpers about the submerged hazards in the river. Jaden Wallace Peters drowned here in 2025.
After several drownings and countless near drownings, the BEST the City of Kamloops could do is install 8 new signs at TCR.
This is what is also known as "Doing the Bare Minimum"; however, I do not believe this meets the legal standard of Due Diligence when looking at the problem as a whole. Stan's body was missing for more than 2 years.
I was sitting here 2 years ago, minding my own business, when two international students jumped off the dock and began drowning immediately. I jumped into to rescue them, it nearly cost me my life.
